SQUEAKY BUM TIME…
Sir Alex Ferguson once used the above expression when talking about who can hold their nerve the best when the pressure is on at the end of the season. With a washout at Crown Wood last week the race for survival is still very much undecided. Stoke Row travel to basement boys Harlington knowing that if they win and Crown Wood lose they are safe.
Row boost probably the youngest side they have ever had in a league game. Dion Sampson is the veteran at 38 with Phil Duncan (25) and Paddy Hennessy (24) the next eldest in the squad. In contrast two former Moulsford pupils Tom Macdonald (15,younger brother of Will and Charlie) and Ed Howlett (14) both get their debuts for Row. Don’t be put off by their age, both are very good cricketers and expect them to have an impact.
Who knows what Harlington side we will come up against? They have cancelled 2 and play with less than 10 on other occaisions as well as arriving late for some games. Faisal Khan is a danger with bat and ball while Raja has scored runs against Row in the past.
